How will you make an impact in this role?
As part of the Finance Data Governance Organization within Corporate Controllership, this role is responsible for bringing and managing data under governance for Finance. The Finance Data Governance (FDG) team is leading the effort of defining the future roadmap for data governance within Finance and ensuring that trusted information is used for critical processes, decision making, and accounting across various finance processes.
As a FDG Manager, you will support the development and implementation of solutions in accordance with the Enterprise Data Governance policy and framework. You will partner closely with Finance Technology Transformation, Enterprise Data Governance, Controllership, Risk, and other teams to drive data governance and data quality within Finance.
The FDG Manager is a collaborator, a well-organized, action-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and time management skills, confident in presenting, facilitating, and building a network of strong relationships across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Data Governance in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy ensuring the appropriate accountability model and processes for data asset management, metadata management, data quality, and issue resolution.
- Participate in all aspects of Data Governance specifically on data classification, Data Quality, data catalog and lineage, as well as compliance to data standards and privacy regulations.
- Support development and maintenance of business glossary, data integration, data lineage, and data management activities
- Provide insight into the root-cause-analysis of data quality issues and assist in remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback.
- Recommending strategic improvements to data assessment process and making necessary enhancements to data analytical and data quality tools.
- Validate completeness of data lineage between the point of data element creation (system of record) and the point where it is consumed by business users
- Provide ongoing support for metadata implementation, testing and integration
- Provide technical training and documentation in support of metadata policies and procedures
- Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies on upstream and downstream systems
- Serve as a Product Owner and a liaison between Technology teams, application teams and product teams to drive Data Governance requirements and priorities.
- Participate in PI planning and ability to develop and communicate product goal/objectives, manage and prioritize product backlog.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Information systems or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of work experience, of which at least 2 years in metadata
- Strong technical and data analysis skills with prior experience with SQL, Hive, Google Cloud.
- Understanding of regulatory reports Y9C, Y14M and 2052a is and a prior background in financial reporting analysis on operational data used in these regulatory report submissions is highly desired
- Demonstrated ability to collect business requirements and use them to guide implementation of a technical solution.
- Prior experience of Data governance, Data Management, Metadata, and data lineage tools such as, COLLIBRA, MANTAÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed understanding of the SDLC and experience in AGILE-based product ownership & development.
- Strong excel and other technical skills, prior experience with SQLÂ
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to lead and manage Data Analytics and BI projects is strongly desired.

Experience of Finance, Banking, Insurance or similar industries is a strong plus.

Self-motivated and proactive, ability to manage multiple assignments and projects concurrently within tight deadlines.

Experience of a wide range of architectures/platforms. (Oracle, Single-Store, Hadoop)
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
