We鈥檙e seeking someone to join our team as a Financial Accounting Manager to work in our Finance Division.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm鈥檚 financial and capital resources.

Global Corporate Controllers are responsible for Morgan Stanley's financial records, ensuring that the assets and liabilities of Morgan Stanley are properly controlled, and providing accurate and timely financial information both to senior management and externally to statutory and regulatory bodies. The Budapest team is a vital part of the global operations, representing more than 80% of the team globally.聽

What you鈥檒l do in the role

• Supervise a sub-team with 10-12 associates, including mentoring and developing staff members

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including journal entries, subledger activities, reconciliations, and financial analysis

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory requirements

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls over functional areas

• Prepare monthly reporting: prepare global support service divisional reporting packs with commentary on a monthly basis, and specific consolidated allocation reports

• Prepare quarterly and annual cash flows and disclosures聽

• Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior聽

What you鈥檒l bring to the role

• Completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Business related discipline

• At least 4 years鈥� relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

• Solid knowledge of finance or accounting concepts

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills聽

• Accuracy, attention to detail

• Good 聽communication skills, fluency in English

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment quickly and effectively

• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage various deadlines and downstream dependencies
