The Application Development Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple complex application development projects and programs. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, program management expertise, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership:听Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of application development programs, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Strategic Alignment:听Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical leads to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with the organization's strategic goals.
• Planning and Execution:听Develop comprehensive program plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans. Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring timely completion and quality.
• Team Management:听Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to project managers and development teams within the program.
• Stakeholder Communication:听Establish and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and challenges. Facilitate effective communication across teams and departments.
• Risk and Issue Management:听Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical concerns to senior management when necessary.
• Quality Assurance:听Ensure that development processes adhere to best practices and standards, leading to high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Process Improvement:听Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Budget Management:听Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Vendor Management:听If applicable, manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors involved in the program.

Qualifications

• Education:听Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience:
  • 12 years of experience in program management, with a significant focus on application development or software engineering.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex software projects or programs.
• Certifications:听Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe) are highly desirable.

Required Skills

• Program Management Expertise:听Strong understanding of program and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Technical Acumen:听Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), modern development technologies, architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud-native), and best practices (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD).
• Leadership and Communication:听Excellent leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
• Problem-Solving:听Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Risk Management:听Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks.
• Stakeholder Management:听Demonstrated ability to manage expectations and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
• Tool Proficiency:听Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, Monday.com) and collaboration tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial services industry or similar regulated environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data analytics and reporting for program performance.
