Position Summary
About the Role:听
The Configuration engineer works with the Executive Producer, Product Manager, and Marketing Manager to facilitate the technical implementation of in game events, promotions, content releases, and features in the live game environment. They also听work closely with QA to facilitate the movement of events through our environments听from development to production. They use听MySQL听Databases,听NoSQL听Databases, and administrative tools while working off schedules provided to them by the game team. This individual must be detail-oriented, have experience with database administration, and flexible with hours as events occur throughout the day. This person is responsible for ensuring all the events and updates to be released go out on time.
Essential Job Functions:听
- Ensure the successful launch of in-game events, promotions, new content, and features in the live game environment听
- Ensure that all听admin tools are听working as intended through rigorous, detailed testing听
- Set up store logic and sales through admin tools听听听
- Work with the听Product听Manager to听maintain the status of all听live events and slot releases听
- Communicate with听the听game team听about issues in the live game听
- Provide feedback for continuous test improvement听
- Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved听
- Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software听development in resolving issues听
- Assist听QA with testing and provide training on admin tools as听necessary.
Qualifications听
- Education: Bachelor鈥檚 degree in computer science or related field or equivalent relevant experience听
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities听
5-10 years of total experience
- Experience with project management software (Jira, Rally,听Hansoft)听
- Software development experience听
- Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle听
- Strong verbal and written communication skills听
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail听
- Efficiently regulate and prioritize tasks听
- Meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment听
- Strong technical knowledge of computers or troubleshooting computer problems听
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days work from office)
