Senior Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our team in Platform Services and Emerging Technology's Developer Enablement DevRel group. The developer enablement organisation's mission within platform services is to provide developers with the tools and support they need to build high-quality applications that meet our requirements.
This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software applications using the Autodesk developer tools. The DevRel team promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration to create a community of enabled developers. It empowers developers to take ownership of their work and contribute to our success.
You will represent developer needs within the APAC/EMEA regions by providing technical support, building and maintaining our developer enablement solutions, and working with partner platform teams to ensure the platform meets their needs. This role is in Ireland. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
鈥⒙犅� 聽Help application teams standardise the service deployment configuration and process
鈥⒙犅� 聽Help the application teams accelerate the deployment duration
鈥⒙犅� 聽Work closely with application teams to get onboarded to internal developer platforms
鈥⒙犅� 聽Provide technical support to developers who are using platform services
鈥⒙犅� 聽Assist developers in building and deploying their applications
鈥⒙犅� 聽Troubleshoot issues and work with development teams to resolve problems
鈥⒙犅� 聽Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs
鈥⒙犅� 聽Maintain documentation and training materials for the platform
鈥⒙犅� 聽Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in the industry
Minimum Qualifications
鈥⒙犅� 聽5 + years managing resources within cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
鈥⒙犅� 聽5+ years of experience automating the software development lifecycle with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, CloudBees and Spinnaker
鈥⒙犅� 聽Experience with Infrastructure Provisioning and Automation tools like Terraform
鈥⒙犅� 聽Experience with development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, enterprise, and other application implementations
鈥⒙犅� 聽Monitoring & Observability: Proficient with Dynatrace (APM) and SonarQube (code quality) for monitoring internal developer ecosystem health and metrics
鈥� Artefact repository management tools such as聽Artifactory (JFrog), Nexus, or GitHub Packages聽are required for maintaining and deploying build artefacts in CI/CD pipelines
鈥⒙犅� 聽Good hands-on experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
鈥⒙犅� 聽Implemented and instrumented observability practices, tooling, and solutions, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace and NewRelic
鈥⒙犅� 聽Creation of technical documentation in the form of runbooks, notes, and engineering resources
鈥⒙犅� 聽Good inter-team communication, coordination and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
鈥⒙犅� 聽Experience or involvement in open-source software and communities
鈥⒙犅� 聽Enjoys speaking at conferences and developer communities
鈥⒙犅� 聽Relevant certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
