Summary: The Deputy Executive Director provides direction and supervision of all the Campaign Development Directors and teams within a large market Region ($10M+ in revenue), managing day-to-day operations, overseeing employee lifecycle management, and ensuring the accomplishment of key region performance metrics. This role develops, executes, and provides leadership for strategies designed to create cost effective and on-going sources of peer-to-peer revenue, volunteer engagement, community presence, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) integration, and mission enhancement for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society within the Region's designated area. The Deputy Executive Director will assume responsibility for region leadership in all areas/functions in the absence of the Executive Director.Ìý

Duties and Responsibilities:ÌýÌý Ìý
- Lead all campaign development activities by providing direction and supervision of all Region Campaign Development Directors and teams. This role is accountable for leading and inspiring the campaign development leaders and teams in driving revenue and cost efficiencies to LLS. Accountable for all region peer-to-peer revenue.ÌýÌý
- Leads the employee lifecycle of campaign development teams including the planning, acquiring, engaging, training, and developing of leaders, staff and teams.ÌýÌý
- Integrates regional strategy and programs with assigned teams to create an inclusive and equitable culture that represents the spectrum of diversity.  �
- Provide leadership to Campaign Development Directors for staffing vacancies and the coordination of training and orientation of new staff.Ìý
- Supervises, coaches, and develops Campaign Development Directors in charge of peer-to-peer teams, volunteer leadership committees, and the elevation of business development and advancement relationships from peer-to-peer campaigns.ÌýÌý
- In partnership with the Region Executive Director and Territory Campaign Development Directors, evaluate the campaign portfolio and make strategic adjustments to campaigns to achieve revenue growth and the region’s financial objectives.Ìý
- Partner with the Region Executive Director and Territory Campaign Development Directors to ensure critical annual peer-to-peer key performance indicators are embedded with the campaign development teamsâ€� priorities for revenue generation and volunteer engagement.ÌýÌý
- Partner with Region Executive Director, Advancement Director, and Business Development Director (where appropriate) to provide leadership to Campaign Development Directors and teams to identify, steward, and elevate business development and advancement relationships.ÌýÌý
- With assigned teams (for the entire region in the absence of the Region Executive Director), oversees the implementation, coordination, and management of LLS business operational plans and standards; including contracts, procurement, event management, communication, use of technology, business continuity programs, and risk management.    �
- Serve as the Region lead for project management, change management, and strategic initiatives at the direction of the Executive Director.ÌýÌý
- Oversees market specific activities to deliver brand aligned events and initiatives. �
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the territory and campaign fundraising initiatives.

Education & Experience Requirements:ÌýÌýÌý
- Bachelor’s Degree preferredÌý
- 7+ years of progressively responsible related experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in managing large teams. �
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suiteâ€� Ìý
Position Requirements:ÌýÌýÌý
- Experience with the management of leaders and teams within nonprofit and peer-to-peer campaigns preferred.ÌýÌý
- Ability to lead teams, the implementation of organization processes and procedures, and overseeing employee lifecycle management; including the identification, hiring, onboarding and training of staff.ÌýÌý
- Prior experience leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports. Ìý

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $125,000 to $136,000. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at LLS we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
