The cornerstone of Morgan Stanley’s risk management philosophy is the execution of risk-adjusted returns through prudent risk-taking that protects Morgan Stanley’s capital base and franchise. Risk Management protects the firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties. The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Market Risk Department (MRD), which is a team dedicated to providing analyses and reporting of all market risk arising from the Firm's business activities. This role resides within the Market Risk Stress Testing team. The successful candidate should have knowledge about the principles of financial products and stress testing, with a general knowledge of Market Risk foundations, Macro-economic theory and a self-starting nature. The role involves analyzing the Firm's internal and regulatory scenarios, working on process improvements, designing stress scenarios and liaising with a host of risk managers and various stakeholders.Ìý

You will:Ìý
Ìý
• �  Work in a team of market risk stress testing specialists tasked with the production of various risk analysis and regulatory risk reports submitted to the Federal Reserve and other regulators in major financial centers  �
Run the existing processes and work on improvementsÌý
Conduct analysis on risks, financial products and various stress scenarios �
Coordinate work with other departments in risk, finance and technologyÌý
Balance between regular and development / ad-hoc related tasksÌý
Ìý
You have:Ìý
Ìý
Bachelor’s or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics and MathematicsÌý
Basic understanding of the financial concepts, financial products and risk managementÌý
Basic knowledge of market risksÌý
Excel and data experienceÌýÌý
Experience in a finance, risk function is a plusÌýÌý
SQL and other programming languages is a plusÌý
