As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a fundamental part of a delivery project, leading one of our scrum teams within the Provider Tech space in Dublin. You will be working with a very technical piece of architecture and will collaborate with internal IT Specialists and strategic partners through all phases of the development life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

鈥� 聽 聽Perform all phases of software engineering including; requirements analysis, application design, code development, and testing聽
鈥� 聽 聽Design and implement performance and operational enhancements聽
鈥� 聽 聽Design & Develop reusable components, patterns, and frameworks, encouraging innovation that will enable team velocity聽
鈥� 聽 聽Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and performance improvement
鈥� 聽 聽Conduct design and code reviews to ensure that developed code meets software engineering best practices and guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines聽
鈥� 聽 聽Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software release
鈥� 聽 聽Work with a team of software engineers for one or more Agile scrum teams assigned to work on the project聽
鈥� 聽 聽Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and design solutions as required聽
鈥� 聽 聽Design, code, test, debug, and document software, whilst enhancing existing components to ensure that software meets business requirements聽
鈥� 聽 聽Work very closely with architecture groups to drive software solutions聽
鈥� 聽 聽Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership聽
鈥� 聽 聽Collaborate on design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside of the scrum team聽
鈥� 聽 聽Provide on call support in rotation with team for DevOps service for 24/7 mission critical systems

Required Qualifications:

鈥� 聽 聽Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
鈥� 聽 聽Experience building backend services with Java using Spring Framework (Boot, Core, MVC), Spring Boot strongly preferred聽
鈥� 聽 聽Experience working with Docker or Kubernetes.
鈥� 聽 聽Experience with messaging and stream processing on Kafka or similar messaging technologies
鈥� 聽 聽Relational Database knowledge
鈥� 聽 聽Experience with cloud services; either AWS or GCP
鈥� 聽 聽Experience with Generative AI & Large Language Models (Gen AI, LLM)
鈥� 聽 聽Experience building modular, testable, and reusable software聽
鈥� 聽 聽Experience building and integrating with internal and external RESTful services聽
鈥� 聽 聽Experience with DevOps toolsets such as Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions etc. 聽 Software development methodologies: Agile Scrum & Kanban聽
鈥� 聽 聽 Familiarity with AI & Machine Learning (AI-ML) concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

鈥� 聽 聽Experience developing production grade applications in Spark.聽
鈥� 聽 聽Experience developing analytics applications in Spark or similar
鈥� 聽 聽Strong programming skills in Scala, or Python
