Job Description

The EHS Supervisor will champion a robust safety culture and drive employee engagement across 3 sites to achieve enhanced safety performance and cultivate a zero-tolerance approach to incidents. This role requires a collaborative and proactive individual who can partner effectively with all functions, adapt to the dynamic manufacturing environment, and own the development and delivery of a best-in-class safety training program and culture. The EHS Supervisor will ensure compliance with customer standards and all relevant Environmental/Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Environment, Health, and Safety

  • Cultivate a proactive and adaptable safety culture across all functions within a large, growing manufacturing organization.

  • Collaboratively organize and manage EHS functions across sites to create and maintain effective accident prevention programs.

  • Develop and deliver environmental, health, and safety education and training to meet regulatory and business needs.

  • Lead incident investigations (releases, injuries, near-misses) and implement High-Value Learnings.

  • Manage Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and PPE compliance.

  • Maintain site compliance records for permits and review regulatory changes.

  • Oversee the safety program to ensure compliance with corporate audit protocols.

  • Identify and assess hazardous conditions and practices, and develop hazard control measures and programs.

  • Proactively manage a contractor safety program to enforce corporate EHS standards.

  • Manage industrial hygiene programs, including coordinating periodic monitoring of noise, air quality, and other IH factors.

  • Analyze plant incident statistics and recommend corrective actions.

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with safety and sanitary standards and regulations.

  • Advise, support, and audit front-line leadership on effective EHS implementation.

  • Maintain relationships with Regulatory Agencies and chair or co-chair and lead Safety Committees.

  • Support the development and maintenance of Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering/ Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar EHS or H&S role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM, etc.) will be considered in plus.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and programs with strong focus on the Netherlands.

  • Proven experience with life safety codes, EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Process Safety Management.

  • Demonstrated success in leading efficient and effective compliance programs.

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in Dutch and English.Ìý

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Experience in multi-site management.
