    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled SME Commission Forecast Manager to join The Global Commission Team. This role is responsible for commission cost modeling and forecasting for employee incentive costs, preparing analysis and accruals.  This position requires deep knowledge of commission plan and cost modeling to solve complex problems with innovative solutions, striving to continually automate processes for improved accuracy and more timely results with our commission software provider and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commissions, finance, accounting, and sales operations within a global SAAS company.

    Responsibilities

    • Model and provide forecasts for annual employee incentive costs.  Provide monthly updates to the commission expense forecast, analysis of P&L impact, drivers for changes, and other reporting information as required in order to be an effective story teller

    • Create commission accruals and track payments to accrual for accuracy.  Maintain SOX compliance, prepare sign-offs, obtain approvals and provide supporting documentation for external auditors

    • Manage the manual forecasting process for unintegrated transactions with the extended global commission team to ensure accurate input for accruals and reporting

    • Enhance the forecast and modeling process by working with our commission software provider and internal teams to increase automation of forecasting modeling with the goal of automation, improved accuracy, and more timely results

    • Understand the Sales Compensation Plan and impact on the commission expense forecast and accruals.  Apply judgement to the models to account for the complexities of this Plan

    • Provide data as required to internal and external auditors

    • Create and maintain historical KPI’s for commission expense in collaboration with Sales Compensation team

    • Prepare modeling for commission expenses for various scenarios

    • Understand and be able to communicate trends and changes, along with the reason for those changes, to stakeholders

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 7+ years in finance, accounting, or sales operations within a SAAS company

    • Expertise in Excel and PBI tools

    • Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions

    • Experience in commission and commission software tools

    • Ability to work with various stakeholders across the company, including executives.  Able to adopt communication styles depending on the stakeholder, providing advice as a SME

    • Experience in maintaining SOX controls and documentation

    • Cross-GEO team collaboration, requiring meetings outside of normal business hours at times

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work independently with close guidance in only the most complex/unusual situations

    • Strong storytelling skills - ability to clearly explain drivers to changes

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
