Automation QA Engineer

Job Location:ÌýÌý ÌýITPB Whitefield, Bengaluru

Required Experience:Ìý

  • Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in field associated with software testing.

  • At least 3 years of similar QA role.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision.

  • Must have advanced programming skills in Java, or C#, Selenium or Playwright, including automation systems and databases.

  • Must have the ability to work on UI and API automation testing.

  • Must have deep understanding of object-oriented programming.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong team player skills with a proactive participative style.

  • Must have understanding of Git distributed control system.

  • Must have the knowledge of multiple testing techniques.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works in a team of QA Professionals within their discipline.

  • Communicate daily/weekly goals and monitor and report self-progress.

  • Ensure tasks are completed in order to achieve self-goals.

  • Communicate with other departments within LNW to prevent issues from arising and correct existing problems during the development cycle.

  • Escalations of any product issues found during testing are properly communicated.

  • Own continuous improvement for existing and new test processes and methodologies.

  • Responsible for ensuring that proper communication regarding testing is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Responsible for mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of the staff to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees.

  • Ensures automation is developed through the agreed acceptance criteria.

  • Recommends software test methodologies/procedures/tools that provide value.

  • Adhere to all current QA Processes.

  • Develops new/ maintain tests scripts within the current Test Automation framework.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Estimate, priorities, planned and coordinate testing activities.

  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their implementation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with development partners and other teams.

  • Ability to effectively develop to meet current and future goals.

  • Ability to properly identify risks raise awareness.

  • Ability to develop and maintain automation test scripts for Selenium/Playwright in Java programming language.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Experience with JIRA, GitHub and Testrail or any other Test Case Management software

  • ISTQB Certified

Education:Ìý ÌýBachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant area or equivalent experience.
