The Director, O&I Program Management role manages a team of Project managers supporting Operations and Infrastructure (O&I) initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting highly complex programs across technology teams (including Product Development, Cybersecurity, and Client Services) to deliver highly available, reliable, and secure infrastructure.Â

Manage a team of Project/Program Managers overseeing projects across Visa’s Technology and Product groups and O&I PlatformsÂ
Foster a customer focused approach with the ability to multi-task and lead conflicting priorities with strategic goals in mindÂ
Demonstrated ability to deliver large tech refresh initiatives including Software (OS, DB, etc.) and Hardware platform upgrades across multiple environments, networks, and data centersÂ
Ability to scope initiatives quickly for planning and budgeting purposes; using data to analyze and prioritize efforts amid competing priorities and external factorsÂ
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Architects to plan, design, develop, and deliver hardware and software systems, platforms and solutionsÂ
Responsible for handling and supervising program scope, schedule and budget while proactively mitigating risks that could impact turning points and workÂ
Comfortable leading discussions on initiatives, roadmaps, strategic objectives and the ability to transition from the high level to the details seamlesslyÂ
Comfortable reviewing data, asking probing questions, and presenting to Executive Leadership across a portfolio of initiatives.Â
Qualifications
Basic QualificationsÂ
10 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technology Management or like area with a bachelor’s degree or at least 7 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD, PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information TechnologyÂ
Demonstrated understanding of architecture planning and infrastructure projects at scale Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
12 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 9 or more years of experience with a PhDÂ
4-7 years of direct leadership or progressive responsibility for indirect leadershipÂ
Experience with Agile frameworks including SCRUM, SAFe, and LeanÂ
Experience with MS Office Suite (high proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint), MS Project, Clarity, Jira, MS SharePoint, MS TeamsÂ
Direct experience implementing a company-wide program/system; experience re-platforming existing productsÂ
Proficiency with gathering and analyzing data with follow-on visualization and communicationÂ
Ability to influence development teams and senior stakeholders to gain support for delivering program solutions against a standardized methodologyÂ
