The Director, O&I Program Management role manages a team of Project managers supporting Operations and Infrastructure (O&I) initiatives.聽 This position is responsible for supporting highly complex programs across technology teams (including Product Development, Cybersecurity, and Client Services) to deliver highly available, reliable, and secure infrastructure.聽

---Essential Skills:聽

• Manage a team of Project/Program Managers overseeing projects across Visa鈥檚 Technology and Product groups and O&I Platforms聽

• Foster a customer focused approach with the ability to multi-task and lead conflicting priorities with strategic goals in mind聽

• Demonstrated ability to deliver large tech refresh initiatives including Software (OS, DB, etc.) and Hardware platform upgrades across multiple environments, networks, and data centers聽

• Ability to scope initiatives quickly for planning and budgeting purposes; using data to analyze and prioritize efforts amid competing priorities and external factors聽

• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Architects to plan, design, develop, and deliver hardware and software systems, platforms and solutions聽

• Responsible for handling and supervising program scope, schedule and budget while proactively mitigating risks that could impact turning points and work聽

• Comfortable leading discussions on initiatives, roadmaps, strategic objectives and the ability to transition from the high level to the details seamlessly聽

• Comfortable reviewing data, asking probing questions, and presenting to Executive Leadership across a portfolio of initiatives.聽

Basic Qualifications聽

• 10 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Technology Management or like area with a bachelor鈥檚 degree or at least 7 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD, PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology聽

• Demonstrated understanding of architecture planning and infrastructure projects at scale聽聽

Preferred Qualifications聽

• 12 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor鈥檚 degree or 8-10 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 9 or more years of experience with a PhD聽

• 4-7 years of direct leadership or progressive responsibility for indirect leadership聽

• Experience with Agile frameworks including SCRUM, SAFe, and Lean聽

• Experience with MS Office Suite (high proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint), MS Project, Clarity, Jira, MS SharePoint, MS Teams聽

• Direct experience implementing a company-wide program/system; experience re-platforming existing products聽

• Proficiency with gathering and analyzing data with follow-on visualization and communication聽

• Ability to influence development teams and senior stakeholders to gain support for delivering program solutions against a standardized methodology聽
