We're seeking someone to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team as a CFP&A Budgeting & Forecasting VP to focus on Budgeting and Forecasting Production and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with a deep understanding of system and process flows, and a quick learner who can adeptly manage a team within CFP&A while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President position within our Financial Planning & Analysis Job Family which is responsible for the firm’s budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into the firm’s current and expected financial performance, as well as expense allocation

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
> Manage all production aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes within CFP&A
> Define and streamline the budget process by establishing clear timelines, deliverables and workflows
> Ensure streamlined workflows creating an efficient processes at the overall Finance level
> Develop key financial and performance metrics and collaborate within Finance and with Businesses ensuring a consistent approach
> Identify and assess key opportunities to enhance the current reporting structure and develop more streamlined processes by working closely with the Project and Technology groups
What you'll bring to the role:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
> 10+ years of relevant experience
> Bachelor's degree in finance /accounting with strategic finance and FP&A experience
> Strong managerial skills in managing a team and provide guidelines on how to execute deliverables in a fast-paced environment
> Excellent analytical, visualization, presentation skills, and ability to execute complex analysis and summarize and present to senior stakeholder
> Strong Analytical and problem-solving Skills - Ability to translate complex financial schedules into meaningful analysis and presentations
> Team player with good communication skills
> Expert in Microsoft Office, VBA knowledge is a plus. Experience with technology-enabled forecasting and data visualization tools (e.g., Planning & Analytics, Essbase, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
