We design and build financial software for Parametric’s proprietary investment systems technologies for the entire account lifecycle across Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives. ABOUT THE TEAMS

±Ê²¹°ù²¹³¾±ð³Ù°ù¾±³¦â€™sÌýInvestment Systems group designs and builds the proprietary technology platforms that support our trading, portfolio management, compliance, and derivatives strategies. Our custom software plays a mission-critical role across the investment lifecycle—from real-time trade execution to derivatives modeling to operational automation.

We are hiring Senior Software Engineers to join two core teams:

  • °Õ³ó±ðÌýTrading Platform Team, responsible for shared trading architecture, platform tooling, and performance-critical components used across asset classes.
  • °Õ³ó±ðÌýDerivatives Team, focused on building and enhancing systems that support derivatives-based investment strategies for institutional and retail clients.

Both teams deliver scalable, cloud-based, and business-aligned solutions using modern tools and engineering practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer in ±Ê²¹°ù²¹³¾±ð³Ù°ù¾±³¦â€™sÌýInvestment Systems Teams, you will design, develop, and support proprietary software that powers trading, portfolio management, compliance, and derivatives strategies. Whether on the Trading PlatformÌý´Ç°ùÌýDerivatives team, you’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and engineers to translate complex requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.

You’ll be expected to drive technology decisions, contribute across the full development stack, and mentor peers—all while building deep domain expertise in trading, compliance, and derivatives management.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions across the full technology stack.
  • Build and integrate application components, including APIs, data persistence layers, and event-driven systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver flexible, business-oriented solutions.
  • Develop reusable code libraries, shared architectural patterns, and automation frameworks to accelerate development across teams.
  • Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems, including migrations to new persistence engines, cloud platforms, and architectures.
  • Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure software quality.
  • Support CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like GitLab, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Participate in design reviews, pair programming, and mentorship of junior team members.
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and contribute to team discussions on architectural decisions and tooling.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals (interfaces, annotations, generics, reflection, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise frameworks such as Spring BootÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýHibernate.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills; NoSQL experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-codeÌý(°Õ±ð°ù°ù²¹´Ú´Ç°ù³¾).
  • Experience working with distributed systems and message queues such as Kafka or Kinesis.
  • Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, etc.).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST/JSON APIs; ExtJS is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in Agile development environments and using version control tools like Git.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building high-throughput, low-latency, performance-sensitive systems.
  • A passion for continuous learning and mentoring others.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 185,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
