The Customer Development Manager is responsible for the functional management, leadership and execution of all sales related activities for a wide variety of accounts across Value & Specialty Retail channel including Dollar Tree, Lidl, Aldi & more. This role will also support other channels determined by the needs of the business. The individual will support the team with Nestle’s Co. systems (Osprey) and with corresponding customers systems.ÌýÌý

This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, NJ, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Long Island, NY.Ìý

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
List the main results which the job must deliver in order to achieve its purpose.
â€� Ìý ÌýDevelop strategic and winning relationships with assigned accounts.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýParticular focus will be business development and divisional wins (i.e., displays, distribution gains, ACV enhancement, etc.).
â€� Ìý ÌýEstablish strong working relationship with all internal teams including Customer Strategy, Finance, and Customer Service.
â€� Ìý ÌýDetailed understanding of the Customers go-to-market model including Category Management strategy
â€� Ìý ÌýDeliver target Budget plan and new product distribution goals.
â€� Ìý ÌýExecute our brand and category growth strategy that align with the customer.
â€� Ìý ÌýIdentify new opportunities for growth; develop and implement strategic written sales plans in accordance with corporate goals.
â€� Ìý ÌýMaintain clear understanding of customer objectives and liaise with RVP to develop operational plans to manage execution and measure results. Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýFoster and grow existing and new relationships within account, gaining a deep understanding of current and potential future needs of our customers.
â€� Ìý ÌýEducate our business partners on our products, retail goals, and measurement of success.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýDeliver customer presentations that demonstrate innovation, shelf positioning, promotions, communicate pricing, etc.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýManage daily business in partnership with customers, including: UPC product/item setup, maintenance, logistics and inventory management.
â€� Ìý ÌýSell-in new products and all promotions to qualified retailers; ensure full-line distribution of products (new & existing items).Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýWork with customers to implement Retail initiatives and monitor Retail standards.
â€� Ìý ÌýOngoing contract management that focuses on strategic alignment and designed to strengthen both the customer and NHSc market position.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýResponsible for working with agencies to input Trade Investment Management (TIM and Osprey): system input, trade fund management, direct sales forecasting and projection activities for the company. Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýStrong Trade management/budget processing and an efficiency that focus on a strong ROI.
â€� Ìý ÌýMonthly reporting, sales analytics and insights; understand go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency.
â€� Ìý ÌýPerform other duties as required.
â€� Ìý ÌýP&L management within respective account coverage.
EXPERIENCE
â€� Ìý ÌýBachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.Ìý
â€� Ìý Ìý5+ yearsâ€� experience ideal; minimum 2 years Managing Large Customers desired.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýSales experience in the Value or Specialty retail channel(s) is highly preferred.Ìý
â€� Ìý ÌýExperience in consumer goods and Vitamins and supplements is highly preferred.
â€� Ìý ÌýPrior experience using syndicated data to determine customer needs and establish the most effective pricing and promotional activities that will increase sales and market share for the company and its customers.
â€� Ìý ÌýKnowledge regarding Project Management, and experience with setting up and managing projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.
â€� Ìý ÌýKnowledge regarding relationship management, experience and mindset to work with partners in building initiatives that deliver on goals.
â€� Ìý ÌýStrong cross functional relationships with assigned accountsÌý
â€� Ìý ÌýProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

The approximate target compensation range for this role is $100K to $130K Ìý. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
