The Product Engineering Director听is responsible for defining听product听strategy , working across Citi to engage applications teams to identity the need for new cloud听products and services. The听product听manager听will be responsible for cloud听product听service lifecycle, and new feature and听product 听roadmaps. The Product Engineering Director听will be instrumental in managing all听products from design to implementation to ongoing performance monitoring according to business need and ensure that Citi makes appropriate strategic choices in onboarding, managing, and exiting of vendors from the听product听portfolio. The role requires a talented technologist with experience or working directly with engineering teams to delivery cloud services and听products in an iterative, agile way.听

Objectives of this role:

• Drive the听product- and business-planning processes for cross-functional teams (central cloud engineering and application teams)

• Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships in the business to drive the curation of services in cloud

• Work with application teams to build roadmap for each curated cloud service, manage priority of work into the engineering teams aligned to delivering a curated cloud service

• Analyze听product听requirements and develop appropriate听product听team approach to delivering them

• Develop, implement, and maintain听production timelines across multiple departments

• Appraise new听product听ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans听

• Create a cohesive delivery function in Citi by joining application teams with central cloud engineering teams and ensuring OKRs are established, executed and measured

• Be a听product听evangelist, to drive scaled adoption of released听products across Citi

Required skills and qualifications:

• Can demonstrate previous experience of leading 听engineering teams to deliver cloud Infrastructure as Code that 听build platforms and services in both Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud听

• You will have a Technical engineering back ground, with hands on experience of Terraform, Python, Java and GO

• Have extensive experience in delivering cloud modernization in large complex global organizations including a good understanding of application architectures, cloud native services and automation.

• You understand how to build central cloud pipelines, compute and data platforms and can demonstrate where you have successfully led engineering teams to delivery this in your previous roles.

• You have product engineering leadership experience in previous roles, you are able to define product roadmaps, use your expertise to prioritize work and drive value outcomes and will be able to become a key contributor to Citi's cloud strategy and modernization program

• 10 years +听听/ Strong experience in a dynamic听product听management role.

• Proven success in overseeing all elements of the听product听development lifecycle.

• High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.

• 10 years + 听experience of delivering听products that leverage cloud services.

• Proven software delivery experience, working with development teams to drive iterative / continuous deployments.

• Strong technical understanding of software delivery, cloud native services, providers鈥� and tools.

• Demonstrable experience in helping to identify, drive, and facilitate external partnerships that accelerate听product听usage, effectiveness, and deepen customer adoption and overall success.

• Extensive track record leading听product听and engineering teams.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills

• Curious, problem-solving 听leadership style, demonstrating听

• Able to 听develop, scale, and continuously cultivate a strong听product听culture and team, energizing their team members while also holding them accountable to set goals.听

• Align strategy with听product听performance metrics (KPIs) that reflect capacity, utilization, efficiency, uptime,听

听
Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience in software and web development.

• Understanding of value stream mapping 听and how to increase听productivity of development teams.

• Track record of working in financial services or other regulated industries, specifically regarding the 听leveraging of cloud services.

• Solid understanding of prioritization methodologies. 听how to break work down and delivery using a lean approach working on close collaboration with Agile delivery mangers.
