Position Overview
We are seeking a听Cloud Software Architect听to help shape the architecture of Autodesk Fusion鈥檚 next-generation cloud platform. In this role, you will design scalable, resilient, and secure systems that support millions of users. You鈥檒l collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to drive technical strategy, modernize our cloud infrastructure, and champion best practices in distributed systems and听API-first design.

Lead the software architecture and system design of highly scalable, distributed, and resilient product capabilities听
Partner closely with product teams and leadership in defining strategic technical roadmap, communicate the strategy in various forums, and make it a reality. 听听
Champion adopting industry best practices to push the development standards within the team and in the larger organization. 听
Align the technical direction with business needs, leading the team to make the correct compromises between short-term business opportunity and long-term technical vision. 听
Help to hire, mentor Engineers, help build fast-growing and high-performing teams听
Requirements听
Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience听
15+ years of experience in leading design of complex systems and hands-on development
Extensive experience with听technologies with听Spring Boot (Java)听and听Node.js听,听SQL/NoSQL databases
Familiarity with other languages and technologies such as C#, Object Graphs, are nice to have
Strong background in designing and implementing听APIs, with hands-on experience in听RESTful services and/or GraphQL
Proven experience working in a听cloud-heavy environment听(AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a solid understanding of听software architecture, implementation, and deployment lifecycles
Strong experience with container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes, or similar technologies, is required
5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role for a large and distributed organization in designing systems and scaling them to millions of users听
Thorough understanding of Distributed Systems concepts, Scalability/Reliability/Security challenges听
Demonstration of high levels of ownership and accountability and working closely with engineering teams to consistently deliver听
Experience in building multi-tenant SaaS architectures and have deep appreciation for Platform and API-first mindset听
Experience building out fully automated development workflows, including validation, adherence to best practice guidelines, builds and deployments听

Salary is one part of Autodesk鈥檚 competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate鈥檚 experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
